With the explosion in popularity of cannabis concentrates, cultivators are shifting focus from simply producing cannabis flower, and beginning to embrace trichome collection for concentrate production. These large scale producers are in need of equipment specifically designed for the job, and Pollen Masters series of dry sift collectors are just what the doctor ordered.
The PollenMaster 4500 is basically a combination of a washing machine and a sieve. A spinning mesh screen drum holds the flower, and gently removes the trichomes as it rotates, where they are collected at the bottom of the Pollen Master’s case. This makes for an incredibly simple and effective dry sifting machine.
The 4500 stands for gram capacity, meaning this machine can process up to 4.5 kilos, or 10lbs of cannabis flower in one go. And with just a 20 to 30 minute run time, the Pollen Master 4500can rapidly process an inordinate amount of product with very little effort required. Micron screens are available for collecting a range of trichome sizes, including 125, 150, and 185. What’s more, the drums themselves are completely re-usable, and so you can run them continuously.
Plus, the modular nature of the machines means that individual parts are easily replaceable. For instance, the mesh screens will gunk up over time, but there’s no need to buy a whole new Pollen Master, you can simply replace the screens. Break a drum? No problem just pick up a replacement. And even if you burn out the motor with intensive use, that can be swapped out just as easily.
Bottom line, there’s simply no other large-scale method of collecting the essential oils and cannabinoids needed for concentrate production that’s as cost effective as the Pollen Master system. It uses very little energy, requires minimal effort to operate, and can collect a massive amount of dry sift in a short space of time. So, if you’re looking for serious turnover with the least overhead, look no further than the Pollen Master 4500.
We have noted some major flaws to the design and have some modifications that make it far safer to use over time. I’ve written the manufacturer and they seem uninterested in pursuing any of our changes, but we’ve been concerned with the fiberboard ends, which contain complex binding agents that are certainly not food-safe. Also, the threaded rods running through the barrels create a disturbing amount of surface area that make it, again, not food-safe. These are not hard changes to make, but as-is, this tumbler is not food-safe.
Hi, since the above has been posted have Pollen Masters mitigate the flaws.
